How often do people quit in Pro Clubs?
EA flags one match in a hundred as won by a disconnect. The scorelines say the real figure is far higher — 3-0 is the most common result in the archive, by a distance.
Measured hereUpdated 10 August 2026
3,820 of 400,185 archived matches. That is the number EA is prepared to mark, and it is a floor rather than a total.
What EA actually tells you
Every match carries a winnerByDnf flag, set on the club still standing when the other side left. It is the only quit marker the API exposes. Across the archive it appears on 3,820 matches — about one in a hundred.
The scorelines tell a different story
3-0 is the most common result in Pro Clubs, and not by a little: 60,359 matches, 15 per cent of everything held. Nothing about how goals are actually scored produces a spike at one exact scoreline — 3-0 is the score a forfeited match is recorded as.
| Scoreline | Matches | Share |
|---|---|---|
| 3-0 | 60,359 | 15.1% |
| 3-2 | 27,563 | 6.9% |
| 4-3 | 22,967 | 5.7% |
How much of that 15 per cent is a real 3-0 and how much is somebody leaving cannot be separated from the outside, because EA does not say. What the two figures together do establish is that the flagged 0.95 per cent is the smaller number, and the honest answer to “how often do people quit” sits somewhere between it and one in seven.
It still counts
A match won by a disconnect is archived like any other, with a result and a score. It feeds form, head-to-head and everything computed from them. Nothing in the data marks it as less real, so a club that beats quitters and a club that beats opponents look identical in a record.
Counted from 400,185 archived matches on 10 August 2026. These are matches this site holds, not every match EA has ever run — the archive is a large sample of Pro Clubs, not a census of it.
Questions people ask
- How often do people quit in Pro Clubs?
- EA marks 3,820 of the 400,185 matches archived by 10 August 2026 as won by disconnect — 0.95 per cent, or about one in a hundred. That is the number EA is willing to flag, and it is a floor rather than a total.
- Why is the real quit rate higher than the flag says?
- 3-0 is the most common scoreline in the archive: 60,359 matches, 15 per cent of every game held. No other scoreline comes close, and nothing about how goals are actually scored would produce that spike — 3-0 is the score a forfeit is recorded as.
- What is winnerByDnf in the Pro Clubs API?
- A flag EA sets on the club that was still there when the other side left. It is the only quit marker the API exposes, it appears on 0.95 per cent of archived matches, and it is what this page counts before reasoning about the rest.
- Does a disconnect still count on your record?
- Yes. A match won by disconnect is archived like any other, with a result and a score, so it carries into form, head-to-head and everything computed from them. Nothing in the data marks it as less real.
