What is a good pass completion percentage in Pro Clubs?
Pass completion is the stat people quote to prove they played well. Here is the whole distribution, and the surprise is how little it changes by position.
Measured hereUpdated 4 August 2026 · from 415 archived players
Half of all archived players complete less than this. It is the number people quote to prove they played well, and it is the easiest one on the page to inflate.
The whole distribution
| You are better than | Pass completion |
|---|---|
| 50% of players | 81.8 |
| 60% of players | 83.3 |
| 70% of players | 85.4 |
| 80% of players | 86.9 |
| 90% of players | 89.6 |
| 95% of players | 91.7 |
| 99% of players | 93.5 |
Players with at least three full matches of stored history. Rebuilt daily, so the figures move as the archive grows.
The stat that ignores your position
This is the surprise. The median defender completes 82.3% and the median forward 81.7%. Almost every other stat splits hard by position — goals, tackles, touches — and this one barely moves at all.
| Better than | Build defender | Build midfielder | Build forward |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50% of them | 82.3% | 82.1% | 81.7% |
| 90% of them | 90.4% | 89.0% | 87.4% |
| 99% of them | 94.1% | 92.4% | 93.1% |
That makes it the one headline stat you can compare across two players in different roles. It also makes it close to useless for telling them apart.
Why a high number can mean nothing
Short sideways passes complete far more often than through balls. The fastest way to push your completion toward 89.6% is to stop attempting the passes that win games, so a high figure on its own says nothing about whether somebody played well. Read it beside how many passes they actually attempted.
Questions people ask

- The median archived player completes 81.8%. 89.6% is the top tenth and 93.5% the top one per cent.
- Is 80% pass completion good in Pro Clubs?
- It is about average. The median archived player completes 81.8%, so 80% sits just below halfway rather than being the strong figure it is often called.
- Do defenders have better pass completion than forwards?
- Barely. The median defender completes 82.3% and the median forward 81.7%. Pass completion is the one headline stat that hardly moves between positions, which is why it is a poor way to compare two players in different roles.
