Which FC 26 settings matter in Pro Clubs?
Clubs locks the settings people go hunting for and leaves open the ones nobody opens. The bar above your player is the useful one, and it arrives switched on.

PlayStyles+ icons, Footedness and your Skill Moves Rating. All three arrive on, and in Clubs the bar also carries your Archetype and your match rating.
The bar above your player is your build
EA made the Player Name Bar customisable in FC 26 and added three elements you can turn off one at a time: the PlayStyles+ icons, the Footedness icons and your Skill Moves Rating. They are all on by default, which is why most people have never opened the setting.
The PlayStyles+ icons earn their space. EA says they flash when one activates, so that flash is the only evidence inside a match that a PlayStyle+ of yours did anything at all. Anyone arguing about whether their Signature PlayStyle+ works can settle it in one game by watching the bar.
Footedness draws your weak foot as a boot filling up from the heel on a five point scale, beside a strong foot marked with a double border. In Clubs the badge slot shows your Archetype, and your match rating sits next to the bar while you play.
What Clubs locks
Competitive Gameplay is mandatory in the mode. Authentic Gameplay is unplayable in Clubs, the sliders belong to Career and Kick-Off, and there is no difficulty to pick. If you have been hunting for the setting that made this year harder, it does not exist on your console.
The one new camera EA built is the UT Competitive Camera, described as exclusive to Ultimate Team stadiums. EA published no new Clubs camera at all, so every list of best Clubs camera settings is somebody ranking the cameras that were already there.
The visibility settings worth ten minutes
High-Contrast Mode is the big one, and FC 26 is one of the first sports games to have it. You set colours separately for home and away outfield players, for both goalkeepers, for the referees and for the ball, and you choose whether it repaints a whole body or only the kit. A Pitch Saturation slider comes with it, and EA says it works in head-to-head play.
Player shadows and stadium shadows have a toggle each. EA added them because shadows on the pitch make the ball hard to follow, which is a fair description of a floodlit away kit at dusk.
Subtitles now carry five text sizes and five colours, with a drop shadow toggle and a background toggle. On a first launch the Accessibility Boot Flow walks you through the lot, and it is the one screen most people skip past to get to a match.
Simplified Skill Moves, and its price
It sits in the Accessibility menu. Flick the right stick in one of the four main directions and the game picks a move for you, chosen by your Skill Moves Rating. At one to two stars, forward gives a Low Skill Roulette, left or right a Ball Roll, back a Feint Forward and Turn. At five stars the same four inputs return a 3 Touch Roulette, a Drag Turn and a Flair Nutmeg 180.
EA publishes the trade as well. Simplified moves take longer to perform than the real input, they chain a maximum of three in a row, and they are slightly more error prone. For a centre-back who wants one dependable turn out of trouble that is a bargain. For a winger who lives on chains it is a tax.
What EA has not published
Any advantage. There is no setting EA has said makes you better, no figure attached to a toggle, and nothing in the notes tying a camera to an outcome. A best-settings list is a preference list with a confident tone on top.
This site cannot settle it either. EA sends nothing about your settings on a match row, so two players with opposite setups arrive in this archive identical, and any page claiming a camera is worth a tenth of a rating point has measured nothing.
Settings detail from EA’s Gameplay Deep Dive. Menu names come from EA and can move in a title update.
Questions people ask
- What is the best camera setting for FC 26 Clubs?
