Why does my trivela not work in FC 26 Pro Clubs?
The shot was not weakened. It was fenced off, and which side of the fence your Pro stands on got decided the moment you picked an Archetype.

Gamechanger. Ask any other Pro for the outside of the boot and you get a lace shot.
EA gated the shot, and said so in writing
A trivela belongs to one PlayStyle this year. EA puts it flatly: a player without Gamechanger will not be able to perform trivelas, and an attempt defaults to a lace shot instead. The input has not changed and it has not broken. The ball just leaves the foot the ordinary way.
The failure is silent, which is why so many people think the shot is bugged. No prompt appears. You hold the trigger, you shoot, and a flat drive goes where the curl used to.
Why it was fenced off
Overuse. EA says trivela shots were being used by players across every position, that this produced unrealistic and exploitable scoring patterns, and that the goal of the change is to balance shooting in Competitive gameplay. Clubs runs on Competitive and has no other setting, so the change reaches your Pro at full strength.
Four PlayStyles left the game at the same time. Power Header, Aerial, Trivela and Flair were all removed, and their mechanics were folded into the ones that replaced them.

The shots and the passes went to different places
This is where most of the confusion sits. Gamechanger holds the shots and Inventive holds the passes. Both were built out of the same two removed PlayStyles, so having one of them gives your Pro nothing at all in the other half of the job.
A Magician carries Inventive as its Signature PlayStyle. That Pro can bend an outside-foot pass through a back four all night and still have no way to strike one at goal. If you want both, the second has to go into a Customizable slot, and a PlayStyle sitting in one of those never upgrades to its plus version at any level.
Getting Gamechanger onto your Pro
Two routes exist. It comes free when it is your Archetype’s Signature PlayStyle, and in that case it climbs to the plus version as the Archetype levels. Otherwise you slot it yourself, which requires your attributes to reach the Attribute Unlock Requirement EA attached to it.
EA has not published that requirement. The notes give one worked example for the idea, Dead Ball at FK Accuracy 75, Crossing 80 and Shot Power 80, and leave every other PlayStyle unlisted. So the honest instruction is to open the Customizable PlayStyles screen and read the figures the game puts in front of you.
The input, once you have it
L2 and circle on PlayStation. LT and B on Xbox. Hold the shot button to power up, and if you want the version FC 26 added, press it a second time before contact for a low driven trivela.
That second press is new this year and it is the same one on every shot type. It replaced Timed Finishing, which EA took out of the game, so nothing is being timed when you use it.
What no tracker can tell you about this
Whether the slot is worth spending. A goal arrives from EA as a goal and carries nothing about which part of the boot struck the ball, so this archive holds no way to compare a squad that has Gamechanger against a squad that does not. Anybody publishing that comparison has measured nothing to get it.
