What do you actually choose when you create your Pro in FC 26?

The screen people expect, where you dial in a position and spend points on stats, is not the screen FC 26 gives you. One choice sets almost everything else.

what the FC 26 creation flow offers for attributes

Your numbers arrive with the Archetype you choose and move afterwards with Attribute Points. There is no screen where you set them yourself.

One choice, made in the first minute

EA says you select your first Archetype when you enter Clubs for the first time. The other twelve come later, from Clubs Coins, FC Points, or an Archetype Unlock consumable found in rewards. So the free one is the one you are about to live with.

That choice is doing far more work than the face and hair screen people picture when they search for character creation. It sets the range every attribute you own is allowed to move inside.

What your Archetype fixes for you

Each Archetype carries its own minimum and maximum value for every attribute, and its own ranges for Weak Foot and Skill Moves. Four attributes are marked as Key Attributes and cost fewer Attribute Points to raise on that build, which is EA nudging you toward developing it the way it was designed.

Height and weight also move inside a window your Archetype sets. EA says adjusting them has a minor effect on a few attributes, and that the change is applied when you enter a match instead of being written into your base values, in the same way a Club Facility boost works.

What you cannot take back

Attribute Points, once spent, are permanent. The only way out is an Archetype Reset, which you buy with Clubs Coins or receive as a consumable, and which returns every point you spent to your wallet so you can place them again.

Everything else stays open. Height and weight move inside the range whenever you like, the appearance is cosmetic, and switching Archetype leaves the old one exactly where you left it. What a switch costs is the levels, because each Archetype progresses from level 1 on its own.

Why no build calculator can price this

People look for the tool that says spend here, then here, and be optimal. It cannot be built honestly on what EA has published. The PlayStyle thresholds are public and identical across builds. The cost of getting to them is not.

EA says the Attribute Point cost per upgrade climbs as the attribute goes up, without ever printing the curve, and says Key Attributes are cheaper on their own Archetype without saying by how much. Two unknowns sit under every calculation a calculator would need to do.

Do it by hand instead. Pick the PlayStyle or Specialization you want, read its attribute requirements, and check whether those attributes are among your build’s four Key Attributes. If they are, you chose well. If they are not, you are paying full price for somebody else’s identity.

What everyone else picked

Measured across the builds EA stamps on a match row, Finisher leads the archive on 61 archived players. Take that as a forecast of who you will be marking on Thursday, and nothing more. Popular is a fact about other people.

Questions people ask

What is the first thing you choose in FC 26 Clubs?
Your Archetype. EA says you select your first one when you enter Clubs, and that the other 12 come from Clubs Coins, FC Points or an Archetype Unlock consumable. It is the choice the rest of the build is made inside.
Can you set your own attributes when you create a Pro?
Not directly. Each Archetype carries its own minimum and maximum for every attribute, plus its own ranges for Weak Foot and Skill Moves. You raise values afterwards with Attribute Points on the Edit Attributes screen.
Does height matter when you create your Pro in FC 26?
It moves inside a window your Archetype sets. EA says adjusting height or weight has a minor effect on a few attributes, applied when you enter a match instead of being written into the base values, in the way a Facility boost works.
Is anything about your Pro permanent?
Spent Attribute Points are, until you buy an Archetype Reset with Clubs Coins or use a Reset consumable, which returns them to your wallet. Everything else about the build stays adjustable.
Is there a build calculator for FC 26 Pro Clubs?
None that can be honest. EA publishes the PlayStyle thresholds and says the Attribute Point cost climbs as a value rises, without ever printing the curve, and four Key Attributes per Archetype are discounted by an amount nobody outside EA has.
Which Archetype do most Pro Clubs players use?
Finisher leads the archive, on 61 archived players. Popularity is not a recommendation, and it does tell you which build you will meet most often.
