What new skill moves are in FC 26?

Your star rating is an Archetype ceiling with an attribute cost behind it. The skill moves guide covers how to raise it and what it costs you elsewhere.

EA reduced the speed boost during step overs. That boost was the reason the move worked for most people: you were not beating the defender with the feint, you were beating them with the burst that came out the other side.

Now the feint has to do the work. If your dribbling was built on chaining step overs down the touchline, this single line in the notes is the change you have been feeling all season.

The la croqueta, which the game calls Lane Change, is faster and no longer pushes the ball forward at the end of its animation. That trailing touch was what let a recovering defender get a foot in, so the move keeps you closer to the ball than it did.

The jog version of the drag back is ten per cent more effective, by EA’s own number. Ball control while sprinting through a skill move is tighter. Error was reduced across every skill move in the game, and EA says it fixed detection problems that were dropping inputs.

Fake shot to stops transitions into a dribble faster too. Small, and it is the one that decides whether the shot fake is a way out or a way to stand still.

EA enabled ball rolls, body feints and the roulette for goalkeepers. It reads like a joke until you remember that a human can take the goalkeeper slot in Clubs Rush this year, and that a keeper who has come out to sweep has to get past somebody to keep the ball.

Use it there and almost nowhere else. A roulette on your own six-yard line is how a clip ends up on somebody else’s timeline.

There is a setting that replaces all of this with one flick. Simplified Skill Moves lives in the Accessibility menu and gives you a contextual move from a single right stick direction, at the cost of speed and a three move chain limit. The settings guide has the detail.

What new skill moves are in FC 26?

Five. The Explosive Stepover and the Trickster Rainbow work from a stand and a jog, the Advanced Heel Flick and the Elastico Variation come from a jog, and the Drag To Chop is performed from a stand.

Which new skill move needs the lowest star rating?

The Trickster Rainbow, at one star. Flick the right stick back then forward. Every other new move asks for three stars or more, and the Elastico Variation needs five.

Can goalkeepers do skill moves in FC 26?

Some of them. EA enabled ball rolls, body feints and the roulette for keepers, which matters in Clubs Rush now that a human can take the goalkeeper slot.

Did EA nerf the step over in FC 26?
