Engine, Recycler, Maestro and Creator. One of them holds the highest assist rate in the archive and another holds the lowest attacking output of any outfield build.

The four in the middle

Central midfield is where EA’s groups blur. Engine is filed under defenders, the other three under midfielders, and all four carry CM on their Suggested Positions screen. The gap between the busiest and the quietest of them is the widest inside any pool in the game.

Volume and completion answer different questions

Passes per 90 says how much of the match went through you. Completion says what happened when it did. A high volume with a low completion is a midfielder trying things, and both halves of that sentence are worth knowing before you pick.

No build here has a hundred archived players yet, so there is no distribution to print.

What comes out the other end

Creator produces 0.85 goals and assists per 90 across 32 archived players. Recycler produces 0.08. Both are builds EA suggests for the same slot.

The quiet build wins games

Most clubs have three people trying to score and nobody winning the ball back. That is why the build with the worst attacking numbers in this pool keeps turning up with the best record in the game. If your club already has two forwards and a number ten, the useful pick here is the one whose figures look boring on your profile.

The win rates by midfield build are on their own page, and switching costs nothing.
