How often should you get man of the match in Pro Clubs?

One award exists per match, so the honest question is what share of your own matches carries it. Here is the measured answer, and why the ceiling has little to do with you.

Measured hereUpdated 15 August 2026 · from 415 archived players

0.0%
Median share of matches with man of the match

Half the archived players sit below this and half above. A share of matches played, not a rate per 90 — one award exists per fixture, however long anybody was on the pitch.

Why it is a share and not a rate

Nearly every figure on this site is divided by minutes, which is what puts a substitute and an ever-present on the same scale. Doing that here would hand the award to whoever played least. A man of the match is one thing, given once, so the fair denominator is the number of matches you were in.

The top one per cent take it in 60.0% of their matches, which is the highest band the archive measures.

Split by position

The median defender takes it in 0.0% of their matches and the median forward in 0.0%. Whatever decides the award, it is not handed out to one end of the pitch.

The ceiling is set by your club, not by you

One award goes to one player. A club fielding eleven humans puts ten other people in the way of it every night; a club fielding four humans and seven AI team-mates puts three. The same player, playing exactly as well, carries a different share in those two clubs.

Which makes a low number a fact about who you play with at least as much as a fact about you. Read it that way. A share that looks poor beside the archive can be the best in a full-sized club, and the archive cannot see the difference.

Nobody can tell you how to farm it

EA has never published how a match rating is calculated, and it publishes nothing at all about how this award is chosen. Any guide offering you a method is guessing at a box nobody outside EA has opened. What can be measured is the rating itself, over enough matches to mean something — a rating that climbs across a hundred games is worth more than an award that arrived in one.

Questions people ask

How often should you get man of the match in Pro Clubs?
Half the archived players take it in 0.0% of their matches or fewer, and the top ten per cent in 30.0% or more. It is counted as a share of matches rather than a rate per 90: one award exists per fixture, however long anybody was on the pitch.
Is man of the match decided by goals?
EA publishes no formula for the match rating and none for this award, so any guide promising you a method for farming it is guessing at a black box. What the archive can say is where the award lands. The median defender takes it in 0.0% of their matches and the median forward in 0.0%.
Does playing more matches raise your man of the match rate?
No, and that is the reason it is measured as a share. Playing more moves the figure toward the truth rather than upward. One award in five matches reads as twenty per cent and is mostly luck; the same share over a hundred matches is a fact about you.

Measured from 130,326 players and 56,609 matches, kept since 17 September 2026. EA returns the last ten. Look up your own club and see where you land.
