How do you level up fast in FC 26 Pro Clubs?
Playing the same mode every night is the slow way, and Skill Games run out sooner than people expect. Both are worth knowing before you grind.

Role Rating, gameplay actions, the match type you played and Skill Games. One of those four runs out partway through the week, which is the detail worth planning around.
Where the XP comes from
EA lists four sources of Archetype XP. Your Role Rating, which is the game judging how well you played the job you were given. Gameplay actions, which is the things you actually did. Match type, which pays differently across Clubs League, Playoffs, Friendly, Drop In and Clubs Rush. And Skill Games.
They stack. A good game in a mode you have not touched this week counts on more than one of those at once, which is why variety beats grinding a single queue all evening.
Skill Games are capped weekly
This is the one people find out the hard way. The XP available from Skill Games is limited each week, so it is a top up rather than a route to a level. Sitting in the arena all Sunday stops paying at some point in the afternoon and nothing on screen makes that obvious.
Do them early in the week if you want them. A cap you never reached is XP you did not get, and it does not roll over into next week.
Role Rating rewards the job, not the highlights
Role Rating replaces the old match rating, and the change matters here. Performance is now judged against the actions that matter most to your assigned Role, across goalkeeping, defending, dribbling, shooting and passing, plus team wide things like goals, assists and red cards.
So the weighting moves with the Role. A Box to Box role counts defensive and attacking work about equally. A Playmaker role leans harder on creative actions such as through balls, assists and dictating the pace, and leans less on defending. Two players can have identical stat lines and different ratings, and that is the system working rather than failing.
The practical consequence is that filling in out of position costs you twice. You are judged against a Role you did not build for, and the actions you are good at may not be the ones it weights.
Levels do not follow you
Each Archetype goes from 1 to 50 on its own, and EA has said the cap rises through the season. Switching build does not carry progress across, so the fastest way to stay at a low level is to change your mind every fortnight.
If you are unsure which build you want, that is an argument for trying them early and then committing, rather than for spreading a season thinly across four of them and finishing with none of them levelled.
The honest version of levelling fast
Play your own position, in more than one mode, on a build you intend to keep. That is the whole strategy, and it is duller than the videos promising a shortcut.
There is no exploit here worth your evening. The XP is spread across four sources deliberately, one of them is capped, and the largest of them is simply playing well in the role you chose.
Questions people ask
- What gives you XP in FC 26 Clubs?
- Role Rating, gameplay actions, the match type you play and Skill Games. They stack, so a good game in a mode you have not played counts twice over.
- Can you farm Skill Games for XP?
- Only up to a point. The XP from Skill Games is capped weekly, so it is a top up rather than a route to a level.
- Does playing different modes level you faster?
- Match type variation is one of the four XP sources EA lists, so playing across modes is rewarded rather than neutral.
- Does XP carry across Archetypes?
- No. Each Archetype is levelled from 1 to 50 on its own, so switching build means starting that build where it stands.
