How do you get more Skill Moves in FC 26 Clubs?
Your Archetype decides how high your Skill Moves can go. Levelling moves you around inside that range, and no amount of it lifts the ceiling the build came with.
From EAUpdated 25 August 2026
EA sets a minimum and a maximum per build, for Skill Moves and for Weak Foot. Your level decides where you sit inside that range. The build decides how far it reaches.
The ceiling belongs to the Archetype
EA says every Archetype has its own minimum and maximum for all attributes, and its own ranges for Weak Foot and Skill Moves. That one sentence answers most of what people ask here. You are working inside a window somebody else drew when they designed the build.
So two questions hide inside “how do I get more skill moves”, and they have different answers. Moving up inside your range is Attribute Points. Moving the range is a different Archetype.
Levelling hands you points, and points are not the ceiling
Every level gives Attribute Points to spend from the Edit Attributes screen. Put them into Skill Moves and the number climbs until it meets the top of your range, at which point it stops and stays stopped.
This is the part people find out late. An Archetype that tops out at four stars tops out at four stars at level 50, with every point in the game spent on it. Grinding does not open it. Nothing you can earn does.
Read the range on the build screen before you commit a hundred points to it. The number is in front of you and it is the cheapest thing on the page to check.
Weak Foot works the same way
EA names Weak Foot in the same breath as Skill Moves, as another range that varies by Archetype. People ask about the two separately and get one answer twice.
Which matters more than it sounds, because your weak foot changes what you can do under pressure in a way five star skills mostly do not. A forward who can finish with either foot gets shots away that a one-footed one has to turn onto first. Skill moves need space and a second to use them. The weak foot pays out in the moments where you have neither.
A reset does not move it either
An Archetype Reset gives your Attribute Points back so you can place them somewhere else. It leaves the range exactly where it was. If the ceiling is the thing you are unhappy with, a reset is the wrong item to spend.
Changing build is the answer, and it costs. The other twelve Archetypes come from Clubs Coins, FC Points or an Archetype Unlock item, and the one you move to starts at level one. So the fix for a low Skill Move ceiling is a fortnight of levelling, which is worth weighing before you decide it matters.
Nobody has the table
EA has published the rule and none of the numbers. There is no official list of which Archetype allows five stars, so every tier list of skill move ceilings you will find was put together by players reading their own screens.
Some of those are accurate. None of them are guaranteed to still be, because attribute ranges are the kind of thing a title update moves without anybody writing it down. The build screen in front of you is the current answer.
Questions people ask
- Can you get 5 star Skill Moves in FC 26 Clubs?
- Only if the Archetype you are on allows it. EA says each Archetype carries its own range for Skill Moves and Weak Foot, so the ceiling is a property of the build you picked and levelling does not move it.
- How do you raise your Skill Move rating?
- With Attribute Points, from the Edit Attributes screen, in the same place everything else on your pro gets raised. That works up to the top of your Archetype range and stops there.
- Does levelling up increase Skill Moves?
- Levelling gives you the points to spend, which is a different thing from moving the ceiling. An Archetype that tops out below five stars is still capped there at level 50.
- Is Weak Foot the same system?
- Yes. EA lists Weak Foot beside Skill Moves as another range set per Archetype, so both questions have the same answer and the same fix.
- Which Archetype has the best Skill Moves?
- EA has published the rule and none of the numbers, so nobody can hand you a reliable table. The build screen in game shows the range for the Archetype in front of you, and it is the only source certain to be current.
- Can you reset your way to a higher ceiling?
- No. An Archetype Reset returns your Attribute Points so you can spend them differently and it leaves the range alone. A higher ceiling means a different Archetype, which starts again at level one.
